Recent paleontological evidence seems to indicate that the Spinosaurus was pretty comfortable in around water. Turns out this *huge* predator was interested more in fish than anything. With all the boats in the news lately, I started thinking about the Salties–the giant cargo ships that move through Lake Superior.
And somehow, in my brain, both of these thoughts got mixed in my head. I imagined a Spinosaurus on one of these cargo vessels, just using the big ship as a convenient platform for its daily fishing routine.
This piece is part of a larger world, where dinosaurs and humans seem to coexist at the same time. I haven’t fully fleshed out this world yet–or even come up with a name for it–but you can expect more artwork of this type in the future.
