I’m calling this Star Trek piece “The Flag Ship,” because it features two of the most famous flag ships in Starfleet history: The USS Enterprise NCC-1701-A and the USS Enterprise NCC-1701-E. Captain Kirk and Captain Picard meet (again?).

Mostly, the Constitution-refit class and the Sovereign class starships are two of my all time favorite designs. I had a very strong urge to draw them together–both movie-designed starships–and see what happens. I hope you enjoy the piece as much as I do!

As a side note, I think this piece goes really nicely with my other most recent Star Trek art: “Passing the Torch,” featuring the USS Shenzhou and the Enterprise NX-01. We’re all one big happy fleet!
