This piece has been in my head for ages… and I’m really happy I was finally able to get it out on paper. This one’s inspired by the film Aliens. I had the urge to draw some Colonial Marines… and as you can tell by the lighting, they’re in for some bad news shortly. (“How could they cut the power, man?! They’re animals!”)

Anyway, I wanted to emphasize a pretty simple color palette on this one, but I used the shoulder lamps as a way to introduce a bit of color complexity. I really like the end results!
