Star Trek: Doomsday Machine

Star Trek Beyond USS Enterprise Design next to the Planet Killer from "Doomsday Machine," a Star Trek: The Original Series episode.

I always wanted to see the Kelvin Timeline take on the Doomsday Machine. One of the nice things about being an artist and illustrator is that you can, well, take the time to tell your own stories.

This version of the Enterprise is based on the refit seen in Star Trek Beyond, which is one of my favorite takes on the design. Making the nacelles smaller, sweeping back the pylons, and increasing the length of the neck really helped to make the whole ship look more graceful.

And that’s something I definitely tried to capture in this piece. Prints are available, so if you want this painting hanging on your wall, order yours below!

Star Trek: Doomsday Machine – 10×20

“The Doomsday Machine” was the episode of Star Trek that got me hooked. No one knows where the Planet Killer came from, or who created it. The Kelvin-Universe USS Enterprise is about to have its first encounter with the Doomsday Machine… who’s to say how it’ll go this time? This piece is printed on high quality art paper. Shipping to the continental United States is included.
