Over the years, the Intrepid class USS Voyager has really grown on me. For this piece, I had in mind Picard’s ready room artwork, and I wanted to create an equivalent for Voyager. I also wanted to emphasize Voyager moving gracefully–and swiftly–through the stars. If there’s one thing I think of when I think of Voyager’s design, it’s speed.

I’ve always loved the in-universe art of starships and space stations that you’d often see on the Captain’s ready room wall. I tried to imagine what Voyager’s ready room painting would look like and came up with this piece. It’s at warp because I imagine Captain Janeway would want to be reminded that every minute brings her crew that much closer to home. This piece is printed on high end art paper.
